The problem of clichés

The question is how we are saved from all those bad movies that beset our rooms? What will all this amount of trivia that inflicts this kind of cinema that can tell us only that Italy does not recognize that?
The answer is simple. The curious, documentation on film coming out in theaters, going to see some films than others, get caught by other stories, other dreams. A cinema is a mirror of reality in which we live, who can take us to unknown places, in contact with people who have something to say and something to say. We are not against the principle of entertainment cinema. Indeed. Okay that too, but can not be the one the only one that we find in the rooms. What we fight is the trivialization of real, widespread, vulgarity, cram every frame of platitudes.
The problem with clichés is not the fact that they contain false ideas, but rather that they are superficial articulations of good ideas. The stereotypes are damaging because they make us believe in a satisfactory way of describing a situation, whereas they only scratch the surface. And if this matter (and has), because our way of speaking is fundamentally linked to our way of feeling, because the way we describe the world must to some extent reflect the world in which we live first.
The current movie season is a bloodbath for distributors and exhibitors. The audience just goes to the movies and rewards only some Drama (40 million € Zalone Built just the movies). Cinemas in low intelligence, good only for gobble popcorn and fizzy drink (which otherwise is bad for health ...). And so, for instance, a film of awesome power and depth as "In a better world" by Susan Bier (winner of the last Festival of Rome) are not welcomed properly, has hard times and disappears shortly after its release . Like many of this film, so to speak, intelligent and cultured. In the plot of the film, a Christian teenager like many of our children, never smiles and never forgives. Christian moved to Denmark with his father, and in his new school he meets a boy so that Elias is always beaten by bullies. So Christian and Elias begin with a path full of violence under the eyes of the helpless parents. You see, it comes to things we are very close to current, often shared.

Charlie Chaplin. Director and actor of
"The Great Dictator" (1940).

Given that the film is culture, perception of the environment, interpretation of a fact, real or imaginary, artistic expression, we should always defend him. And defend it means going to the movies, talk with friends, recommend you watch it.
The images they produce are not only entertainment but stupidity is insulting. From this we must defend themselves. There is a fun film that was never vulgar or insulting. We remember Chaplin or Buster Keaton's silent and not to mention, think of Jerry Lewis, Jaque Tati, Louis De Funes, Benigni to name a few. All the really popular cinema is of great value. Never vulgar, never boring, but still within reach of everyone, young and old, intellectuals and ignorant.
