Poetic Hypochondria

1. Daniel Vogelmann was born in Florence in 1948, writer, founder and director of the publishing house Giuntina, now publishes its own collection entitled My best Jewish jokes. I take a couple of examples from the book. Classic Jewish telegram: "Begin worrying. Letter following. " Or: "A Jewish mother gives her son two ties for his birthday: one red and one blue. The following Saturday, his son goes to find her sporting a red tie. 'Why did you put this tie? That you did not like blue? "'. So much pessimism and a hint of stinginess? Maybe. But in the brief introduction to the book, the author puts his hands on, "always remember that the Jewish jokes should be told only from the Jews, because if he tells a non-jew now in danger of becoming anti-Semitic."
