text by Paolo Becherini photos by Emma Becherini)

At the end of a long mobilization, November 27 has been found to have plaque in memory of poet and anarchist.

The Ragusan anarchist Pippo Gurrieri speaks in the name of the anarchists
emphasizing the actuality of thought Goriano

We were many in this day at Empoli to want to remember Pietro Gori, each according to their wishes, their expectations, their world view, a coexistence based on greater social justice, a fairer distribution of wealth, of more opportunities for everyone regardless of starting conditions, in a word of greater freedom.
It is not anachronistic nostalgia for the struggles of the nineteenth century or for a religious attachment to an ideology that we fought for the laying of a plaque and we consider this goal, now that he has achieved a victory.
This battle and other initiatives that we have made public, were a pretext, in this era of uncertainty, of division, of the triumph of individualism and cynicism of the privilege to hunt, to insist that an alternative is possible thanks to the use of timeless universal values such as those transmitted by our fidentemente Pietro Gori: justice, equality, solidarity, love and freedom.
